The water from Crafnant Lake flows down to the small Roualeyn Resevoir above Ponty-Y-Pandy it is divided with one part creating Fairy Falls down and through the village bridge to Gowers whilst the other part travels down a 20 inch steel pipe to the turbine house of Trefriw Woollen Mills
